Our Heritage
Orkney has a rich and mystical past that stretches back over 5000 years to the early Neolithic age and since then these fertile lands have been called home by many.
Our bakery is based in the picturesque coastal town of Stromness, which stretches out from the sheltered harbour past piers, slipways and narrow flagstone streets.

Our oatcakes are baked full of oats which are considered to be a superfood for their numerous health benefits. As a high fibre, low GI wholegrain, oats can work to slow your digestion and help to keep you feeling fuller for longer.
Ancient grains, including the Orkney grown bere barley that we bake with, are often high in fibre, contain significant amounts of multi nutrients and have distinct flavours.
